GOODNESS

# 30) Q: who are the gods of zoroastrianism? what are their rules?

A: Please read the Web site! There is ONE God, and there are NO shall nots.

# 31) Q: Do you believe the whole world should convert to Zoroastrianism? Do non-Zoroastrians go to hell?

A: The first question is two sided. First Yes! I wish that all mortals would accept of their own free will to become Mazdayasnis. No religion considers itself worse than others, ergo, all , regardless of what they claim, wish for all mortals to accept it.

However, one thing is the wish and another the reality. We believe and confess, that the Good Religion is best, greatest and sublimest, but we realize that it is good in thoughts words and deeds, that make mortals progress in God's ethical Universe. Indeed Mazda seeks deeds, because good deeds alone, actually change the reality and are true witnesses of changed minds and hearts. They can only come out of a good mind, which thinks good thoughts and refrains its tongue to speak bad words.

Thus you can be a professor of any belief, or non-belief, but if you live your live in harmony with Asha, you can progress spiritually.

As to your second question, can only be said that you have not read the web site. Mazda is All Good and incapable of harm. There is no 'hell' because your hell is in the remorse in your mind and conscience, that follows when you realize you have done wrong.. There is no condemnation, there is only self -rehabilitation. Read the section Fear and Hatred, or click on the link that says a totally good God and you will see what I mean.

# 32) Q: Yeesh! What contradictions! What faulty logic! Your position of "freedom to choose, freedom from fear, freedom from guilt" is mutually exclusive. If we have absolute freedom to choose, then sooner or later someone is going to be afraid of making the wrong choice. Once he has made the wrong choice, guilt and regret follow. You cannot have freedom to choose AND freedom from fear. Never mind the myriad flaws that follow. But thanks for letting me say it.

A: There is absolutely no contradiction! Indeed its the every day experience of life that we have freedom to choose. Freedom from fear refers to the obvious fact that Zarathushtra and his religion, unlike Abrahamics , does not attempt to scare us into being 'good', not 'sinning' etc. Freedom from guilt, because you are not enslaved by an accusation that you are guilty, depraved and incapable of good * (Romans Chapters 1 and 3 portray humans in these terms, for ex.) Nor are you guilty of the blood of the "son" God.

Zarathushtra does not attempt to scare us to death, to feel worthless and in need of 'saviors' etc. That is the context in which you are free from fear and guilt. But outside that context, you can also be free of fea, if you hold to a benevolent mind and realize the All Good. For if God is Benevolent, Benignant, Incapable of Harm, All Good and Most Wise, you have no fear of your ultimate destiny.

Now guilt of your wrongful actions , that is something else. If you suppress your conscience and do wrong, guilt will eventually come. But this, has nothing to do with the context in which I was talking about freedom from fear and guilt, which was in a comparison with Abrahamic Faiths. Your contention that people would be afraid of making a wrong choice, and thus make the premise a contradiction, is a fundamental misunderstanding of the Mazdayasni position. The reason you would be afraid, about making a mistake, or in Abrahamic terms, 'sinning', could only be fear of condemnation and retribution. There is NO Condemnation in Mazdayasna and the only retribution is the one, that comes as a result of your own wrong actions and is not meant as revenge, but as a tool to teach you to choose to do what is right.

You have nothing to fear when you know that God is the God of the infinite second chance and that you are the captain of your destiny. You made a mistake? Correct it! You are not condemned! There is no eternal torment, no lake of fire, or other Abrahamic , to be honest, manipulations. Mazda is not the jealous god of Abraham, that demands atonement. S/He does not claim that revenge belongs to God. Indeed S/He does not take revenge nor can. S/He is the Benignant Teacher and Creator, in short, you have nothing to fear from Mazda and thus you ARE free from fear, in the religious context.

As a defense mechanism, most of us can be placed into perilous situation, in which we might be afraid, but again, this is not the context in which freedom from fear and guilt were used.

Thanks for your contribution, in any case.
