Zoroastrianism is embraced as a 'green', environmental religion. It makes emphasis on avoiding water and air pollution, on planting trees, etc. It is indeed one of the foremost belief systems in this sense and also one of the most ancient.
Respect for the environment and nature is spiritual in Zoroastrianism, but also rational and practical. It is not about no growth, or about eliminating 'carbon foot print'.
